She’s A Tomboy turned two at the beginning of this month on August 4th… Please take a moment and toast with your mid morning cup of tea/coffee/water . Thank you.
The last two years have been demanding, with moments of uncertainty and above all, exciting. I honestly didn’t think I would go past the 6th month mark because, it would have served the purpose that I intended it to serve. Then you dear readers, relentlessly made sure that every fortnight, a part of me goes out. You readers are my everyday blessing…Thank you.
I have slowly learnt to be friends with my shadows; fear, doubt and Shyness, while learning to use She’s A Tomboy to inspire everyone to be free enough to love who they are.
This is going to be an exciting year. I can almost feel the struggle, devotion and dedication that will be required. So, what are these two questions that made getting here worth the tug of war with my shadows?
Here we go:
What inspired you to start She’s A Tomboy?
This question has become a big part of my days from both friends and strangers. Every time that I respond to this, my faith is renewed, because , I am reminded that happiness is an inside job.
Have you ever needed a new challenge, something exciting while scary at the same time? Something that in almost forever, you would never imagine yourself doing? See, that’s the kind of thrill that I needed, and that’s how I landed on fashion. Considering that I was a person who was least concerned about what to wear. And all that mattered was that the cloth fits and the colors are not bright…the rest would just fall in place.
I was at a point in time that my life was stuck in a rut! Nothing seemed to be moving forward: at work, relationships and my general life. Changing days, turning into a whiner and that was just about it.
What next for She’s A Tomboy?
She’s A Tomboy will be taking a more focused approach in ensuring that every reader gets value for their time on the blog. From the two years of interaction on the blog, we want you as Apple, Pear, Straight or an Hour glass, in relation to your body types, to have something to take away or look forward to.
If passion and boldness are the languages you understand best, take a seat and get served!
Looking forward to a greater year.
